
All time standard appetizer; the shrimp or crab log. Simple idea; mix your meat with some cream cheese, meat and herb or spices, form into log. Wrap and refrigerate. To serve pull out the seafood log and plate it. Pour your favorite seafood dipping sauce or chili sauce over the log. Serve with cracker assortment.
3-4 oz of shrimp or crabmeat (cleaned, deveined, etc.)
1 8oz block of cream cheese (nuefchatel will do also)
½ Tsp Old Bay Seasoning
1 Tbsp horseradish (*optional)
Seafood cocktail sauce or Chili Sauce to cover

Soften the cream cheese in a bowl, add the meat of choice, Old Bay Seasoning and horseradish if opted for. Mix well. Turn onto wax or plastic wrap and shape into log or mound. Cover with additional wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour, up to 2 days. When you are ready to serve, plate the log or mound, smother it in cocktail or chili sauce and surround with crackers. Place one or two butter or serving knives in the log for convenience. Beautiful, simple and tasty!
